Any artist s worst nightmare is a power cut during a live performance That is what happened today with me for the first time at our first international show after 3 years in Nairobi During the last 10 minutes of the show there was a major power failure with generator also facing a short circuit The lights came back on after a bit but we were not able to restore the sound as power was running at 20 capacity I somehow managed to keep the crowd engaged for a few mins while the lights were off but what happened next is unbelievable The show must go on Because of the very warm crowd of Nairobi who were so encouraging and patient that it made me perform for them WITHOUT Sound I projected my voice lot louder for a crowd 500 people for 25 mins straight and ended up performing a lot more Thank vibgyorfactory for being on toes through out Also thank me that the audience did not ask for a refund Thank you chirayu_m for capturing one of the most epic moments of my career along with your beautiful face sticking out the tongue I am rarely proud of myself but today is that day where in I am really happy that I held my ground and when given an option did not walk off the stage and gave the audience what they had come for This standing ovation is one of the most special ones

Manan Desai, We are Wholesome Gujarati Comedy show.

Any artist's worst nightmare is a power cut during a live performance. That is what happened today with me for the first time at our first international show after 3 years in Nairobi.

During the last 10 minutes of the show there was a major power failure with generator also facing a short circuit. The lights came back on after a bit but we were not able to restore the sound as power was running at 20% capacity. I somehow managed to keep the crowd engaged for a few mins while the lights were off but what happened next is unbelievable.

The show must go on. Because of the very warm crowd of Nairobi who were so encouraging and patient that it made me perform for them WITHOUT Sound. I projected my voice lot louder for a crowd 500 people for 25 mins straight and ended up performing a lot more.

Thank @vibgyorfactory for being on toes through out. Also thank me that the audience did not ask for a refund :)

Thank you @chirayu_m for capturing one of the most epic moments of my career along with your beautiful face sticking out the tongue.

I am rarely proud of myself but today is that day where in I am really happy that I held my ground and when given an option did not walk off the stage and gave the audience what they had come for.
